EDI 409 Teaching Students with Special Needs Across the Curriculum (B)

Understanding categories of disabilities, identifying students with diverse needs and providing effective individualized instruction are an integral part of this course. Laws, regulations and processes in special education, issues of family/professional partnerships, learner-centered constructivism, collaboration and consultation skills, and community building, and topics of a philosophy of inclusion, effective teacher performance in terms of addressing student and classroom management will be examined. 3 Cr.
