Description
The AACSB-accredited Finance Major prepares students to assume professional positions in one of the many finance functions in business and non-profit organizations, such as financial banking, planning, cash management, and investment analysis. The program also prepares students for graduate study.
General Education Requirements(30-34 Credits)
Admission to the Program
A student’s cumulative GPA in the foundation courses is used to determine whether the student will be admitted to the major. Students must earn a minimum average GPA of 2.5 in the following seven foundation courses, with no grade lower than “C-.” Transfer grades are included in the calculation of the overall GPA.

Program Requirements
Students pursue the Finance Major as part of a Bachelor of Science degree, and must satisfy its requirements. Students are also bound by the terms of study in the School of Business and Management. To satisfy degree requirements, students must earn (1) a grade of at least “C-” in each course used to satisfy a finance major requirement, and (2) an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 in all courses required for the major.
