Description
The Musical Theatre Minor is intended for students in any major who wish to engage in a concentrated study of Musical Theatre. This minor offers students an opportunity for integrating the arts of music, dance and theatre. Through this minor students can explore areas such as performance, theory, choreography, musical theatre vocal production, musical theatre history, dance styles, and acting. Students will take courses in dance, music and theatre. Through performance opportunities in the Theatre and Music Studies Department, students can also apply their studies on and offstage.
Admission to the Program
Any undergraduate student can declare this minor.
Requirements of the Musical Theatre Minor
A minimum of 19 credits is required; at least 10 credits must be taken at Brockport.
Prerequisite: MUS 105 Introduction to Music (3 credits)
